Promoting Digital-Real Integration to Boost Brands' Going Global: The Successful Holding of the 2024 Cross-Border E-commerce Conference

On December 12, 2024, the 2024 Cross-Border E-commerce Conference was successfully held in Guangzhou. This conference was hosted by the China (Guangzhou) Cross-Border Electronic Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, with the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau and Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone Management Committee as the co-hosts. The China Association of Trade in Services was also a joint organizer, while the China Cross-Border E-commerce 50-Person Forum, the Global Cross-Border E-commerce "Three Centers", Guangdong Guangdong Global Trade Technology Co., Ltd., China United Network Communications Co., Ltd. Guangdong Branch, Lexiang Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Haopin China Brand Construction Office, and Guangzhou Dora Technology Co., Ltd. served as co-organizers. With the theme of "Digital-Real Integration and Brand Going Global," the conference aimed to explore new trends, opportunities, and challenges in cross-border e-commerce and promote the deep integration and development of Chinese brands in the global market.

The conference invited Jiang Xiaojuan, former Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, as well as relevant provincial departments and well-known experts and scholars. Focusing on addressing the rapidly changing new global trade situation, they discussed in-depth the strategic orientation and development path for the transformation from Made in China to Chinese Brands, and the strategic positioning and development direction for cross-border e-commerce brands going global, with a goal of jointly promoting the going global of cross-border e-commerce brands in Guangzhou. Representatives from excellent cross-border e-commerce enterprises such as China Unicom International Operations, Temu, and PayPal shared their industry experience regarding global digital infrastructure construction and new opportunities for Chinese industries going global. Representatives of Guangzhou's cross-border e-commerce leading enterprises and "Brand Going Global" enterprises shared their insights on building an efficient and collaborative cross-border e-commerce ecosystem and full-link marketing for brands going global.

The 2024 Cross-border E-commerce Conference aims to embrace innovation and adaptation in response to market changes, shaping new competitive advantages in the market. It has expanded multi-layered cooperation in the fields of cross-border e-commerce and digital trade, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of foreign trade. Moving forward, Guangzhou will continue to play a leading role in high-quality development, adhering to the specific "1310" deployment of the provincial party committee and the "1312" strategic initiatives of the municipal party committee. Centering around the goal of building Guangzhou into a "City of Cross-border E-commerce," the city will continuously optimize industrial policies and the business environment for cross-border e-commerce, providing a platform and creating conditions for the development of cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Guangzhou, and propelling the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce in the city to a new level.
