1. Assist the Government in formulating incentive policies and perfect the legislation system of trade in services;
2. Establish the non-governmental self-discipline and coordination mechanisms in fields of trade in services and build up the development environment of resources sharing and convergence between the industries;
3. Create and promulgate the brand image of China trade in services;
4. Enhance the studies on the trade in services, keep an eye on the development trends of international trade in services and provide basis for the Government and enterprises in their formulating of development strategies;
5. Participate and assist the Government in multilateral and bilateral negotiations on the WTO and regional economic cooperation, and increase the export channels for trade in services;
6. Make full use of the governmental resources, organize enterprises to participate in projects and activities of bilateral and regional economic cooperation and free trade zones;
7. Utilize the resources of the Chinese embassies overseas and other overseas resources to undertake market studies in the international trade in services and provide enterprises with information on the overseas market and businesses;
8. Reinforce international exchange and cooperation. Organize enterprises to participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, seminars and overseas business trips in international trade in services and facilitate enterprises in exploring international markets and enhancing international exchanges;
9. Organize training programs both nationwide and worldwide aimed at promoting the professional level of China trade in services;
10. Build public information service platforms in the trade in services and make them into overseas introduction windows for China’s service trade, and provide public information services of the industry and the market;
11. Set up internal exchange publications and release research reports on the trade in services;
12. Assist the Ministry of Commerce in the effective administration of the demonstration areas of the trade in services and outsourcing trade bases;
13. Provide the relevant authorities of the Government with the wishes and requirements of the industry and enterprises and undertake tasks assigned by the government authorities.
